Chief Minister Maryam Punjab has taken the initiative to revive the Laptop Scheme across all University Students in Punjab. The approval was given during a crucial meeting focusing over comprehensive reforms over the higher education sector.

The scheme is set to provide the latest laptops to the students across Punjab, the scheme is back after seven years. The meeting discussed the promotion of higher education, laptops, and student transport.

How do you get the laptop by Prime Minister?

As the scheme has started HEC will soon open registeration for the scheme, making a portal available to apply or check status on HEC website. As the HEC is currently buying laptops for the scheme they are soon to open registeration.

Interested students should visit the official website and fill out the form required for the Laptop Scheme 2024 before the deadline. There is no offline registration available the application has to be online. Stay tuned for any updates about the laptop scheme 2024.

Am I eligible to recieve the Laptop?

below are the criteria for anyone wishing to recieve a laptop.

• Student must be currently enrolled in a Public University.
• Laptops are distributed on merit with minimum CGPA of 2.0
  • The higher CGPA you have the higher the chance.
  • meeting the minimum does not guarantee a laptop higher the better.

Who cannot receive the laptop:

• Student who have already recieved a laptop.
• Students enrolled in a private Higher Education Institute.
• Students enrolled at any government degree & postgraduate colleges and affiliated colleges.
• Foreigners outside Jammu and Kashmir

How to Apply?

Registration for the laptop scheme is only available online and they have yet to open applications. Once registration is open you can go to https://laptop.pmyp.gov.pk/ for applying.
