25 Benazir Mobile Registration Center Vehicles Launched
Launch of the Mobile Registration Center
The BISP has introduced mobile registration vehicles to facilitate registration services for beneficiaries residing in remote regions of the country. These vehicles are intended to simplify the registration procedure for rural residents who encounter difficulties in accessing registration centers.
The launch of the Mobile Registration Center and the emphasis on inclusivity and prioritization reflect the government’s commitment to facilitating the registration process for beneficiaries in rural and remote regions, thereby ensuring the program’s effectiveness and reach in alleviating poverty and providing social support to those in need.
Availability of MOBILE REGISTRATION FACILITY
The Mobile Registration Center have been designated to serve 25 districts in the provinces of Sindh and Balochistan. These districts include Chaki, Khuzdar, Pishin, Gwadar, Qila Abdullah, Loralai, Sibi, Sohbat Pur, Qila Saifullah, and other areas within Balochistan.
The initiative will commence in Sindh, beginning with Ghotki and Tharparkar, and subsequently, it will be extended to include Umerkot, Sanghar, and Jamshoro. The Mobile Registration Center will gradually cover these areas, aiming to provide registration services to beneficiaries residing in these regions, making the process more accessible and convenient for them.
Collaboration between the German and Sindh Governments.
The launch of the Mobile Registration Center in Sindh is the result of a collaboration between the German and Sindh governments. The initiative is aimed at reaching out to BISP beneficiaries in remote areas of the province who may face difficulties in accessing registration centres. The launch of Mobile Registration Center Vehicles is expected to facilitate the registration process for these beneficiaries and help them access the benefits of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP). The Project is being implemented with the support of the German Development Bank (KfW).
Moreover, the BISP has successfully completed 15 years of operation since its initiation in 2008. This program was established with the primary objective of supporting low-income households, with female members being recognized as the heads of their families.
Notably, the program has taken significant steps to promote inclusivity. Within one year, transgender persons have been incorporated into the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP). It is worth mentioning that women were already part of the program, and now households with persons with disabilities have been given top priority.
