How to check Eligibility Status of Benazir Kafalat Program

To check an individual’s eligibility status, you can use the 8171 portal and enter your CNIC (Computerized National Identity Card) number.After completing captcha code you can check your eligibility status of Benazir Kafalat Program.

  1. If a female is eligible and declared as a beneficiary, she will receive an SMS from 8171 informing her of her eligibility status.
  2. Upon receiving the SMS, the beneficiary should visit the nearest HBL (Habib Bank Limited) / BAFL (Bank Alfalah) POS (Point of Sale) / retailer in her tehsil. She must bring her original CNIC for verification through biometric authentication to receive the first installment of the assistance.
  3. For subsequent installments, the beneficiary has the option to receive them from an ATM, in addition to the POS/retailer.

How to Register for Benazir Kafalat Program

To Register in Benazir Kafalat Program follow this step-by-step process for enrollment requirements.

Step 1: Eligibility is granted to households that fall within the approved cut-off criteria.

Step 2: Females who are ever-married and possess a valid CNIC, and have been cleared through household profiling will be designated as beneficiaries.

Step 3: The eligible beneficiary will receive a message/SMS on her provided mobile number from 8171.

Step 4: After receiving the SMS, the beneficiary should visit the nearest Point of Service (POS) in her Tehsil/District. There, she will receive her first cash grant after undergoing biometric verification.

Step 5: If the beneficiary has any grievances, she can register her complaint at the respective BISP Tehsil office for redressal.

INCLUSION OF TRANSGENDER IN BENAZIR KAFALAT PROGRAM

Recently, the BISP Board approved a policy to include Transgenders for cash assistance in the Benazir Kafalat Program.To get enrolled Transgenders must obtain CNICs from NADRA stating their gender as transgender and undergo a mandatory survey at Benazir Registration Centers in each BISP Tehsil Office. All successfully surveyed transgenders are eligible to apply, with PMT cut-off restrictions relaxed. After NADRA validates the data, transgenders are declared beneficiaries and can receive cash assistance through HBL in Punjab, Sindh, and Baluchistan, or Bank Alfalah in KP, GB, and AJK, following Biometric Verification System (BVS).

  2. Call BISP helpline: You can call the BISP headquarters helpline at the toll-free number 0800-26477. When you call, explain your issue or complaint to the helpline representative, and they will guide you through the complaint procedure.
