Aagosh Health and Nutrition Conditional Cash Transfer Program
Aagosh Program by Pakistan Social Protection Authority (PSPA), in collaboration with the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), is proud to announce the launch of the New Aagosh Program. This initiative has been introduced to provide vital assistance and support to impoverished women and children, aiming to significantly enhance their overall well-being and quality of life. The partnership between PSPA and BISP underscores their shared commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable individuals in our society.
The New Aagosh Program is specifically designed to enhance maternal and newborn health, with a particular focus on disadvantaged households. By prioritizing this critical period, which encompasses a child’s first 1,000 days of life, we aim to ensure a strong and healthy start for every child. Extensive research has demonstrated that the first 1,000 days are paramount for a child’s cognitive and physical development, making our efforts in this direction even more essential for the betterment of our society.

HBL Payment Method
The payment method for pregnant and lactating women through HBL involves the following steps:
- Obtaining a PIN Code on Mobile: Pregnant and lactating women will first receive a PIN code on their mobile phones. This PIN code is likely to serve as a security measure to ensure that only authorized individuals can access the payment.
- Biometric Verification: Once the PIN code is received, the beneficiaries will need to undergo a biometric verification process. Biometric data such as fingerprints or iris scans may be used for this verification. This step ensures that the correct person is receiving the payment.
- Payment Disbursement: After successful biometric verification, the payment will be disbursed to the eligible recipients. This process helps in maintaining the security and accuracy of the payment distribution.
This method ensures that payments are made securely and efficiently to pregnant and lactating women, and it helps prevent fraud or unauthorized access to the funds.
